Birkenhead Sixth Form College – Pod

Recently established in Birkenhead 6th Form, the Pod offers a very cool ‘room-within-a-room’ in a busy working space.

The Pod is available as a retreat for a group of students within the college with ASD and they were involved in the design process with us. Wall-to wall padded magenta upholstery and seating incorporated with integral mood lighting, ensure the Pod provides a valuable discrete small group meeting space, far more exciting and welcoming than a traditional partitioned office and supportive of students' need for quiet space to concentrate and space to retreat to.

The Pod was designed to be manufactured off site and shipped in and assembled swiftly in this third floor location. This approach to the design also makes it relocatable in the future.
