Alsop High School
Following a winning pitch, Team a go-go were appointed by pupils at Alsop High School to deliver an interactive History Classroom within their existing school.
The design was centred around their teacher/Head of History, who had a strong reputation for delivering engaging lessons and making learning fun. Through the design process and with an open book contract, Team a go-go worked with a pupil-led steering group to develop a flexible and interactive learning space.
The centre-piece, a 9-metre stage, facilitate role play for lessons and seating space for pastoral sessions. 4-sections within the stage unit, each relating to historic periods within the curriculum, open up to reveal artefacts.
The overall design, within a 55m2 classroom enabled History lessons to build upon the existing drive and enthusiasm of the teacher, made even more engaging through the imagination of her pupils.
