The boys (and girls) of Team a go-go raised an amazing £414 for Movember, contributing to the £1,650 raised by the Ropewalks Doing Good Network which we are part of. Check out the photos of our boys
Ropewalks Doing Good network included teams from Studio Mashbo, Leaf and The Shipping Forecast and it has been set up so that businesses based in Ropewalks can collectively show the good work that they are doing for others alongside their day to day business activity - fundraising, supporting work placements and work with young people in education etc.
The Movember campaign to raise money and awareness of men's health issues seemed like the obvious first campaign for us all to support and the money raised will be put to really great use by the Movember organisation.
The funds raised by the Movember community in the UK support the number one and two male specific cancers - prostate and testicular cancer. The funds raised are directed to programmes run directly by Movember and our men’s health partners,The Prostate Cancer Charity and the Institute of Cancer Research. Together, these channels work together to ensure that Movember funds are supporting a broad range of innovative, world-class programmes in line with our strategic goals in the areas of awareness and education, survivorship and research.
