Team a go-go collected the Public Sector Interiors Project of the Year Award at Mixology North 2011 on Thursday night at Manchester's Palace Hotel for their work on The Fuse
Hosted by design industry Mix Interiors magazine, the night honoured companies and projects North of the M25 and was judged by a host of senior people from leading Architecture & Design practices including:
Mick Jordan from Mix Interiors
Diana Monkhouse, Senior Associate at Swanke
Simon Jackson, Partner at Gensler
Andrew Bartlett, Director at Tilney Shane
Gurvindr Khurana, Co-owner of Essentia
Bronte Turner, Head of Interiors at HLW
Chris Carpenter, Director at Stills
The project beat off some stiff competition including SR:ID for Media City and MAAP for Ferndene Children's Hospital and we are thrilled that the value we have added to this project and the client's work has been recognised.
On the night, the judges said:
“The Fuse is a world-class youth and community facility in Trafford built with public money and designed with young people, for young people. Team a go-go engaged kids from the local school and youth centre in a series of workshops to define the activities they wished to have access to and their visions for their new building. The result is a space with true ‘wow’ factor, which ‘makes people smile’ and delivers outstanding value for money. “
